After spending a day in the mild optioned mkC from Lincoln Date Night program, my perception of the brand changed very much. All my previous experience with Lincoln products were fully optioned vehicles with panoramic roof and technology packages. This mild optioned mkC was uncomfortable and made me realized that it’s a better value to drive a Ford Escape with Titanium trim. The Drive Control, an active dampers, is a feature that sets Lincoln apart from the regular Ford models.
My message to Lincoln... If you want people to view you as a serious luxury car maker. Don’t offer base cars with no options or let dealers put base cars in the demo fleet. It will ruin their experience.
